  • Truth

    He has spent the last five years seeking the truth and honoring Joe Paterno’s legacy.

    Fought to restore Joe’s 409 wins; Restored sweet Caroline. Called two special BOT meetings to refute Freeh.

    He’s one of only five remaining Trustees to seek and gain access to the Freeh source documents.

    He’s spent hundreds of hours finding the real story and will work to make the results public.

  • Tuition

    He’s been the leader in fighting for a tuition freeze.

    Alone at first but twice in the last five years succeeded for the first time in over 40 years in freezing tuition.

  • Government

    He has a great working relationship with Leaders in both parties at the County, State, and Federal level. He was at Capital Day in Harrisburg where he had many private meetings

  • Crisis and Risk Management

    Using his expertise in this area, he has made Penn State a safer more secure place:

    Hershey senior Management thanked him for his leadership in getting them to put plans in place.

    The University Park Data Center is more secure, as are Commonwealth campuses, Beaver Stadium, etc.

    He founded and Chairs the Risk sub-Committee and has a great working relationship with University Risk Management and Emergency Management.

    In 2017 he was honored as the Consultant of the Year and received a Lifetime Achievement Award both from the Disaster Recovery Institute, International.

    He was recognized by the full Board for these accomplishments.

  • Board Leadership

    He is the only Alumni elected Trustee with Board Leadership positions serving as Vice Chair of Audit and Risk and Chair of Risk sub-committee.

  • Military Veteran

    He is the only vet on the Board and proud to be a Vet and attends and supports military events.

    He’s visited our World campus classrooms at the military training base in San Diego.

    He’s hosted wounded warriors for military appreciation week.

  • Penn State Visibility

    He’s a leader in Outreach attending many events representing Penn State, including Penn State Alumni, Chamber, and conferences.

    He has taught and will continue to teach classes on Crisis Management at conferences all over the country and relates the true Penn State story.

  • Commonwealth Campuses

    He’s been to most of them (including all in the Pittsburgh vicinity) with the aim of helping them in all areas and an eye on safety and security

  • Memberships

    Mount Nittany Society, Golden Lions, Parmi Nous, Theta Delta Chi, Business Continuity Institute, CBICC

  • Fund raising

    Penn State Capital campaign, Theta Delta Chi, Parmi Nous, NLC, MS, Special Olympics and the Paterno run.
